DESIGN ENGINEER REQUIRED
Principal Role
To work within a small design team developing powder grinding and sizing equipment as well as other industrial and ancillary equipment.
Typically, all aspects of a project are managed by the individual engineers, from project scope right through to the final build and sign off stage. This includes initial liaison with the customer, concept development using SolidWorks 2011, design analysis, final design, production and assembly drawings, liaising with suppliers, coordination with the production department for final assembly and on-site commissioning.
Larger projects will require good team work skills to work effectively with fellow design engineers, electrical engineers and members of staff from other departments.
Additional duties may include laboratory work and report publishing, purchasing as well as more general administration.
Skills and experience required
Experience in a design role ideally working with mechanisms and/or heavy industrial equipment.
Well developed CAD skills using 3D design software, ideally SolidWorks.
A good understanding of dynamics and mechanisms.
A good understanding of manufacturing processes.
Proficient user of MS Office Software
Likely to be educated to Degree level or equivalent experience.

A self-motivated, good communicator with a strong work ethic. Well organised and adaptable to new and varied challenges. Efficient self-management as well as excellent team working skills.
